Mark Zuckerberg presented the Orion smart glasses, the first functional prototype of augmented reality glasses with holographic capability.
These glasses, which weigh less than 100 grams, are designed to offer an immersive experience where the physical world is combined with holograms. With voice controls, eye and manual tracking, and a neural interface through an EMG bracelet, Orion seeks to transform the way we interact with technology.
These glasses allow digital content to be overlaid directly onto the real environment, eliminating the need for mobile phones, physical screens, and many other physical objects.
Although they are not yet available to the public, Meta plans to refine the design and reduce costs before their commercial release.
Meanwhile, the previously released Ray-Ban Meta AI glasses have been remarkably successful, surpassing previous model sales within a few months.
